Alec Tranel is a bright 14 year old who is actively involved in his community and sports. Alec is currently the Senior Patron Leader for his Boy Scout Troop (the highest position a scout can hold) and he is starting the process to become an Eagle Scout. Alec plays competitive wheelchair basketball and tennis and enjoys skiing, water skiing and sled hockey. He will try anything that looks fun and challenging! Alec has spoken nationally for Rotary clubs, Lions Clubs, and other communities and business organizations on overcoming obstacles. He is most proud to have been asked to speak in the United States Senate Dining Room during the 2009 inauguration weekend. Alec is charismatic, outgoing, funny and mature beyond his years. He lives in the Chicago area with his parents and his older sister.
